Vulcan Park and Museum , Birmingham, Al - This beloved symbol of Birmingham and the nation’s iron and steel industry stands preserved and proud as the centerpiece of  Vulcan Park and Museum. A giant 50 ton cast iron sculpture stands tall 111 years later and depicts the Roman god Vulcan also known in Greek mythology as the  god Hephaestus - god of blacksmiths, craftsmen, artisans, sculptors, metals, metallurgy, fire and volcanoes.
