Hand forged camp axe is of wrapped and forged welded style, similar to that of the colonial style axes.
Features a high carbon 1084 mono steel forge welded bit with mild steel A36 outer core. Handle is hand shaved with draw knife and shaped with rasps before final sanding out of stabilized American Hickory. Coated with 8 coats of boiled linseed oil. Axe head is finished with cold-blue gun bluing process and coated with Renaissance wax.
